the colour catchers

Violet and her Granna live in the bush. Every morning, they wake up before the sun to catch colours. When Granna gets sick, Violet goes out on her own to bring the colours back but things don’t go to plan and it takes all her imagination and a little help from Granna, to find a solution.

Praise

“The Colour Catchers gracefully deals with the difficult topic of loved ones aging. It doesn’t shy away from the pains and frustrations of loss and it shows sensitive little people that the pain and suffering that comes with the end of life isn’t theirs to “fix”. Instead, the love, the time, the precious shared memories and the simple pleasure of a joint imagination are what really matter. It is a stunning book.” Phillip Gwynne
